All My Dream Companions Gone

I am delighted to invite you to a very special concert on November 10th – the eve of Armistice Day – at 8pm:

ALL MY DREAM COMPANIONS GONE, a very special new song cycle about the Great War and a generation of local people, entrenched at home and abroad.

Hundreds of young Drogheda men joined the army to fight in World War I. Many didn’t return, but for those who did the unforeseen consequences of enlisting would often be devastating for their families at home and for their own young lives.

I have written a new set of songs: a patchwork of emotional, relatable stories, reflecting the hopes and fears of a generation of local people.

I’ll be premiering these on the night with the wonderful Lisa Lambe, Trevor Hutchinson from Lúnasa and the Waterboys and Graham Henderson form Fairground Attraction and Moving Hearts.

I’ve been working on this for a long time, and I’m really looking forward to it. Would love to see you there!
